Review
Undoubtedly, the Big Ben is one of the most famous clocks in the world; it has been featured in countless movies, cartoons and other media. Also, it has become one of the most recognizable symbols of London. This screensaver features a view of this British monument, with the Thames at its feet. The river has a decent animated effect that conveys the idea of moving water convincingly. A very cool feature is the soundtrack that features the intro of the song "Clocks", by the British band Coldplay, together with good sound effects. Also, the screensaver has a control panel that allows users to customize many of its features. Thus, you can set up the animation speed and quality, and to enable/disable the music and/or sound effects, among other things.
Despite all these advantages, the screensaver has a big downside: when installing the program, the wizard forces you to install the ScreensaversList toolbar as well, and to change your Web browser's homepage. Although these changes appear to be effective only with Internet Explorer and not with Firefox, Chrome or other browsers, and that you can undo them anytime and still use the program, this can be annoying. Also, although the sountrack is rather good, it can become boring after a while. |
